Important 2010 End of Trip Information:
Riders will cross into Seattle on Wednesday, August 18th, 2010. Following the wheel dip ceremony, Bike & Build will host a reception and celebration for all the 2010 riders and well wishers. More information about the celebration and a request for planning volunteers will be sent to enrolled riders in the coming months. Riders will have accommodations provided for them the night of August 18th and August 19th, and are asked to make their own arrangements starting at noon on August 20th.
Route:
After a two-day orientation followed by a Build Day in Providence, the group will dip their tires and head west from the shores of the Atlantic, across Connecticut, and over the hills of New York and Pennsylvania. The cornfields of Iowa will provide some flat terrain as the group pedals its way towards South Dakota and the old frontier towns of Wyoming. After spending a day in Jackson building with a local affordable housing organization, the group will ride north along the Rocky Range and west across the North Cascades to Seattle.
