| Quick Links: Overview | Route | Beneficiaries Overview: Entering its third summer, the Providence to San Francisco (P2SF) trip will take its riders from the hills of New England to the wheat fields of Kansas, up and over the Rockies, and ultimately across the Golden Gate Bridge With many improvements over the course of the route, this summer's journey is sure to be the most scenic yet!

Route: After a two-day orientation in Providence, you’ll begin the journey to the left coast by heading out across Connecticut and over the hills of New York and southern Pennsylvania. From there you’ll head across the rolling plains of the Midwest (Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska). Then it’s mountain time, biking through the gorgeous Rocky Mountains in Colorado. You’ll have a day off in Fort Collins before heading into Utah, going south of the Salt Lake, and into Nevada. You’ll finally hit California and spend a day cruising down the coast and into San Francisco!  Beneficiaries: The trip’s proceeds will be combined with P2S’s to fully fund a house in Providence, RI. The remaining funds will be distributed to affordable housing groups throughout the United States to finance projects executed by young adults. Prior to the summer, Bike & Build will solicit grant proposals from housing organizations. The two Providence trips will get together and decide which proposals to fund. Return to top.  |
