Alumni Council Member

Local Alumni Coordinators
Put the Alumni Council’s plans into action in your backyard by becoming a Local Alumni Coordinator. Plan and implement alumni programming like rides, social events, and build days with alumni in your city or region. You’ll act as a local alumni ambassador of sorts to the Alumni Council and staff, while developing your own fun projects and ideas. Download Job Description [pdf, 9kb]
Alumni Mentor
Want to take your involvement to a more personal level? Become an Alumni Mentor and get connected one-to-one with a current rider. Chat with them on the phone, answer their questions, quell their qualms. If you’re in the same geographic area, go for practice rides, help them complete their sweat equity – and plan to support them on the road by sending care packages, words of encouragement, and good vibes. Trip Captain Program
Beginning in 2011, a representative of each trip will be selected by their peers to serve as a conduit between trips and the Alumni Council. Trip Captains will communicate trip alumni ideas, questions, and concerns to the Council. They will also assist the Council in maintaining contact with alumni after the summer, providing an insider’s connection to those who want to contribute their time and talents post-trip. If you’re a prospective rider, consider becoming a trip captain and keep your trip engaged long after the summer ends!
Alumni Consultant
Just interested in helping out in any way possible? Great! Alumni Consultants are assigned to one of the Alumni Council’s current projects based on interest and time available, and work closely with an Alumni Council member to get the job done. We have plenty of ideas -- we just need your help to put them into action!
