Anyways….. I'm 21, energetic, hardworking, passionate, optimistic, and random, and I’m REALLY excited to be a part of the leadership team for the Southern US Bike and Build route!!!

More about my love for service and affordable housings: In 2008, I started my commitment with AmeriCorps National Civilian Community Corps (NCCC). NCCC is a ten month long service commitment dedicated to serving non-profits throughout America. I trained in Sacramento, California and then was sent to Biloxi, Mississippi to work with Habitat. This is where my love and passion for working with affordable housing began. I volunteered with the Mississippi Gulf Coast Habitat for Humanity for three months. I saw the need for affordable housing following hurricane Katrina. Five years after the storm, there is still much to be done. I love being able to work with my hands and create a tangible, visible difference in someone’s life. Following my service in Mississippi, I was sent to Miami to volunteer with the Greater Miami Habitat chapter. In Miami, I witnessed the extreme poverty present in some American cities and saw the need for more affordable and safe housing. I am so excited to lead the Southern US Bike and Build team through Biloxi and New Orleans—two places that need our help and mean so much to me! And we are totally going to eat beignets—lots and lots of them! I can't wait to dip tires on both the East and West Coast! :)

I look forward to meeting all of the riders who share the same passions and goals—this is going to be one amazing summer!!! I love my life, my family, my country, and above all--my God. Life is an epic adventure and I intend to enjoy the ride!

"Be more, give more, love more, live more!"
